Eversource is being recognized for its work following the March Nor’easters that left the majority of Cape Cod in the dark.
The Edison Electric Institute presented the utility company with their “Emergency Recovery Award” for what it says was outstanding power restoration efforts.
Hundreds of thousands of Cape residents and businesses were left powerless after a series of nor’easters over a four week span.
Eversource Chairman and CEO, Jim Judge, said the national honor belongs to the employees; the driving force behind the restoration efforts.
