Rehabbed Sea Turtles Released in Florida Waters

Biologists from the New England Aquarium on Monday released 14 sea turtles into the Atlantic off Florida. The turtles spent the winter south of Boston recovering from various illnesses.

The Kemp's-Ridley and larger Loggerhead sea turtles stranded themselves on Cape Cod beaches last November and December due to hypothermia in a failed attempt to migrate south. They required months of rehab at the aquarium's turtle hospital in Quincy.
