A rumor on a school bus this morning led to a police sweep of Cape Cod Regional Technical High School.
School superintendent, Robert Sanborn, tells WXTK News the school received a threat during last week’s school vacation. Harwich Police investigated the threat which was deemed non-credible and the individual making the threat has been excluded from the school pending a threat assessment by mental health professionals.
Sanborn says a rumor on a school bus on Monday morning that something was going to happen at the school led to notifying Harwich Police who followed protocol, cleared and swept the building, gave the all-clear shortly after 8:30 and students and staff were back in the building by 8:45.
