It appears the next West Tisbury Police Chief will come from within the ranks of the department.
The Vineyard Gazette reports that Lt. Matt Mincone, who has been with the department since 1995, will most likely be taking over the position from retiring Chief Dan Rossi.
The Lieutenant has received unanimous endorsement by his fellow officers as well as by several town department heads.
The West Tisbury Board of Selectmen will vote on the appointment on February 7.
