Vineyard Wind, one of three companies that submitted proposals to build a wind farm, miles off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard, is holding a community meeting tonight in Hyannis.
The open house will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cape Codder Resort. This will be the third in a series of such community meetings.
Officials from Vineyard Wind say their proposed wind farm, which would be 15 miles south of the Vineyard, could generate enough electricity to power 400,000 homes.
Deepwater Wind and Bay State Wind have also submitted proposals to construct wind farms off the Massachusetts coast.
