The Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel – a group keeping an eye on issues related to the shutdown of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station in Plymouth – is meeting Wednesday in Plymouth.
The 21-member Panel will hold a public meeting at the Plymouth Community Intermediate School.
The panel, formed last year, aims to advise the governor and Legislature and educate Massachusetts citizens about the planned decommissioning of the state's only operating nuclear power plant which is scheduled to be shutdown in 2019.
It does not have any direct control over the process of shutting down the 46-year-old facility.
