A deadline looms for offshore wind farm developers hoping to construct off the coast of Massachusetts.
The state has set Wednesday as the deadline for companies looking to supply at least 400 megawatts of offshore wind power to Massachusetts utilities.
Deepwater Wind, Bay State Wind, and Vineyard Wind are all vying for the contracts. Each has secured federal development rights to pursue their projects.
A decision by the state is expected next year.
