TS Kennedy Returning to Buzzards Bay

After spending two months in the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean, providing hurricane relief, the T.S. Kennedy is making its way back to the Mass Maritime Academy.

Initially, the Kennedy was summonsed in September by the federal government to aid Texas following Hurricane Harvey. The Kennedy was being used as a floating hotel for FEMA workers.

It wasn’t long after Hurricane Harvey that the Kennedy was called upon to aid the post-hurricane effort in St. Thomas and Puerto Rico.

Officials say the Kennedy is expected to arrive on Friday.
