Big Nick’s Ride for the Fallen has been recognized the Art Westfall Foundation.
The annual motorcycle ride that honors Cape Codders killed in combat since 9-11 was awarded the “Best Philanthropic Act” on the Cape.
The ride, now in its eighth year, was started in honor of U.S. Marine Nicholas Xiarhos who was killed in combat in 2009. This year’s ride in July raised more than $60,000 with the funds providing financial help to local military families, Gold Star families, and wounded warriors.
