9TH District Congressman Bill Keating says President Trump’s position not to certify the Iran nuclear deal is “dangerous.”
Keating, the ranking member of the Terrorism, Nonproliferation, and Trade Subcommittee, said in a statement that Trump’s decision to undermine the agreement, called the “Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action” (JCPOA) is, quote, “opening the door to probably the greatest threat to U.S. and global nuclear safety in my time in Congress. The J-C-P-O-A has halted the Iranian effort to obtain nuclear weapons, a capability they were a mere two months away from at the time of the deal.”
