Barnstable County’s real estate figures for July 2017 show a mixed bag from figures of July, 2016.
Register of Deeds, John Meade, says the volume of real estate sales in July of this year was up 1.7% from July 2016 volume. However, the total value of sales dipped 0.2% from last July.
The median individual property sale value was up just under 5% (4.9%) from the previous year.
The Year-to-Date numbers for those three categories remain on the plus side; Volume of Sales is up 4.9%, Total Value of Sales is up 7.3%, and Individual Sales Value is up 6.1%.
Meade says the median sale price of property in Barnstable County in July 2017 was $355,000, an increase of almost $17,000 from the July 2016 figure of $338,500.
All figures are based on sales or mortgages in excess of $50,000.
