Have you heard of “Life’s Simple 7”? If you haven’t I’ll tell you what they are in a second.

But first I want to tell you about an ongoing long term study being conducted by researchers at Northwestern University. They’ve been looking at volunteers who started out in their 20s and are now in their 50s.

And what they found is that people who most closely followed “Life’s Simple 7” had brains in middle age that appeared a decade younger than people who didn’t.

So OK, what is “Life’s Simple 7”? They are lifestyle goals created by the American Heart Association and here they are.

  • 1 .Manage Blood Pressure
    2. Control Cholesterol
    3. Reduce Blood Sugar
    4. Get Active 
    5. Eat Better
  • 6. Lose Weight
    7. Stop Smoking.
