It is back to a life in the ocean for eight Kemp’s ridley turtles, eight months after they were rescued from various Cape Cod beaches.
The turtles were suffering from severe hypothermia when they were rescued by the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. Since then, they have undergone rehabilitation and are now healthy enough to be returned to the sea.
The National Marine Life Center will release the turtles tonight at Craigville Beach at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
