A domestic violence incident has resulted in a Yarmouth Port man facing charges of Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
Yarmouth Police have charged the man after he crashed his car into a barn at 503 Route 6A. Police believe he deliberately tried to run down the person he is in a relationship with.
Yarmouth Police received the call around 5:45. When they arrived the suspect had fled but K9 Officer Mike Kramer and his partner Satu located him after a brief search.
The person was taken to Barnstable District Court this morning for arraignment for Felony Assault while Armed with a Dangerous Weapon ( motor vehicle).
Due to restrictions in the Massachusetts Domestic Violence Law, the police are unable to identify the person arrested.
