Yarmouth police arrested two motorcyclists Sunday after seeing them riding in tandem on Route 28 and causing traffic to back up.
When police attempted to stop the bikers, they took off, ran the red light at Route 28 and Higgins Crowell road and turned onto Standish Way, nearly hitting on- coming traffic.
They kept going, with the cruiser in pursuit, through several streets before turning into a driveway at 41-a Mayflower Road and walking toward the house.
When an officer approached, the men became verbally combative and uncooperative. A second officer arrived on scene and the men were arrested.
Daniel Sullivan, 31, of West Yarmouth and Christopher Banden, 28, of Raynham were each charged with failure to stop for police, unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle to endanger.
They were arraigned in Barnstable District Court.
