A second member of the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe has been appointed by Governor Charlie Baker to the Cape Cod Commission.
Tribal Facilities Director, Mike Maxim, joins the Tribe’s deputy Tribal Historic Preservation Officer and Council Member David Weeden on the regional land-use agency.
Maxim was recommended to the governor’s office by Mashpee Cape Cod Commission representative Ernie Virgilio.
Commission members have the responsibility of reviewing Developments of Regional Impact and other land-use regulatory issues on Cape Cod, such as waste-water management and transportation.
