Scientists from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution will be joining a May 2018 research mission to the Titanic.
The seven week research project by OceanGate Expeditions will be the first manned submersible expedition to the sunken ocean liner since 2005.
The WHOI scientists are expecting to generate a cutting edge 3D photographic model of the Titanic which sank on April 15, 1912 just five days into its maiden voyage from Southampton, England.
