A mixed bag for real estate figures in Barnstable County for February 2017.
Barnstable County Register of Deeds, Jack Meade, says the volume of real estate sales was down 15.2% from February 2016 volume and the total value of sales was down 9% from the previous year.
However, the median individual property sale value was up 8.6% from the previous year.
Additionally, there was an 11.2% decrease in the volume of mortgage activity from February 2016 levels.
Meade says the median sale price of property in Barnstable County in February 2017 was $335,000. That compares with a median sale price of $308,500 in February 2016.
For the year to date, Volume of Sales is up 1.3%, Total Value of Sales is up 1.7%, Individual Sales Value is up 8.8%, and Mortgage Volume is up 5.4%.
