CVS Plans Major Corporate Split By 2028

CVS Health plans to split into two publicly traded companies by the first half of 2028.

The move would separate its roughly nine-thousand retail pharmacies from its insurance and pharmacy benefit businesses.

The split would reverse its 78-billion-dollar acquisition of Aetna in 2018.

CEO David Joyner says the move will help improve affordability, efficiency and customer care.
