Cape Cod Voters Approve Ballot Question To Create Charter Study Commission

Cape Cod voters have approved a ballot question to create a Charter Study Commission.

According to the unofficial results of Tuesday's general election, around 66-percent of voters supported the measure, while around 34-percent opposed it.

Question A's approval authorizes a 19-member commission to review the structure of Barnstable County government, make findings and recommend changes.

The commission would include one elected representative from each town, three County Commissioners or their designees and the Speaker of the Assembly of Delegates or their designee.
