The areas two state senators are returning to the State House. Both Julian Cyr and Dylan Fernandes easily won re-election challenges.
Cyr had no Republican challenge.
Fernandes for his part defeated the Republican challenger, Kari MacRae.
Fernandes says there is no greater issue facing the district or his generation than the environment.
He says he will continue his support for a transition to renewable energy.
For his part Cyr says that he will continue his work to ensure that affordable housing is attainable; ensuring a future for the next generation on The Cape while also pushing for tax relief.
