A man from Long Island, New York is accused of illegally targeting and capturing a great white shark off of Cape Cod.
In October of 2025, Christopher Stefanou allegedly took his crew and a client on an excursion to capture a great white.
Authorities learned about the alleged activity when Stefanou posted video of the men using prohibited equipment to capture and drag the shark onto the beach, where they took photos before releasing it.
