Offshore Storm To Affect The MA Coast

An offshore storm now off the coast of the Carolinas is expected to strengthen as it moves north over the next few days.

Northeast winds will gust up to 40 miles per hour today and Wednesday along the Massachusetts coast, especially the Cape and Islands, and about 35 miles per hour further inland.

On the water there's a gale warning from eight o'clock tonight to eight p.m. Wednesday.

Forecasters said the extent of any beach erosion will depend on the storm's track.
