The Town of Falmouth is reminding shellfishers that bay scallops are available for recreational and commercial harvest beginning today.
Officials note, however, that the recent storm-related closure affecting the taking of other shellfish species remains in effect until further notice.
Officials say an update will be posted as soon as the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries provides opening dates for the 2027 oyster season.
