Bourne Police Chief Suspended

The Police Chief in Bourne has been suspended for allegedly leaving his service revolver unattended. According to town officials,

Chief Brandon Esip removed his gun and holster in order to move some boxes. He left it unattended on a bench, and that is when it was reported by another member of the department.

Esip has been suspended for five days- with two of those days delayed.

Town Administrator Marlene McCollum says that the two days will be excused if there are no further issues.

So far, the Chief has not commented.
