Mass. House Passes Psychedelic Treatment Pilot Program

The Massachusetts House is passing a pilot program for the use of psychedelics in medical settings.

The House passed language creating a five-year pilot program for licensed mental health clinics.

Supporters say the program could help veterans and others dealing with PTSD, addiction and depression.

Patients would only be allowed to use psychedelics on-site and under medical supervision.

However, the measure still needs approval from the Senate and Governor Maura Healey.
