The Mashpee Fire Department says a brood of turkey chicks are back with their mother after they were rescued from a storm drain on Wednesday.
The Fire Department's Group 4 says all of the little ones were safely removed from the roadside drain and they showed no sign of distress.
Officials say during this time of the year, it's not uncommon for small birds or animals to become trapped in storm drains and a good indication is seeing a concerned mother near the scene.
