Snow clearing efforts continue across Cape Cod following the winter storm that left some areas with a foot of snow.
In Yarmouth, DPW crews headed out yesterday afternoon to scrape down the snow remaining on the main roads.
In areas where plows are still on the roads, drivers are asked to give them plenty of room to work.
The Town of Barnstable reminds folks to clear the snow around fire hydrants as they shovel their streets and walkways.
Officials say a three-foot space on all sides of the hydrant and a clear path to the street can save firefighters precious seconds in an emergency.
