Snowfall Leads To Slick Roadways, Multiple Accidents

First responders across the Cape have been busy responding to accidents as a result of slippery conditions cause by the snow.

Police from several towns were called to accidents along Route 6 and in Mashpee, a car crashed and snapped a utility pole on Red Brook Road by Fire Station 2.

In Wellfleet, a Department of Public Works vehicle and a car were involved in an accident and in Sandwich, a police cruiser collided with a utility pole on Atkins Road.

Officials say the heavy, wet snow has caused downed tree branches and low-hanging or damaged wires in some areas and crews have been responding to hazards and addressing the impacts.
