Wind Advisory In Effect Until 7 P.M.

Barnstable County is under a Wind Advisory until 7:00 this evening.

According to the National Weather Service winds of 15 to 25-miles-per hour are expected with gust of up to 50-miles-per-hour.

The gusty winds could down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Driving may be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

The Steamship Authority says the wind could lead to cancellations on the Hyannis-Nantucket route and Woods Hole-Martha's Vineyard route.

Chance and cancellation fees for travel are waived for today and updates will be posted at steamshipauthority.com.
