Barnstable County Under Wind Advisory Until 8 P.M.

The National Weather Service says Barnstable County remains under a wind advisory until 8 p.m. as a strong storm system moves along the coast.

Northeast winds of 20 to 30-miles per hour are expected with gusts of 50-miles-per-hour possible.

Winds that strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles and motorists should use extra caution.

Eversource says it is closely monitoring the weather, and crews are ready to respond to any damage caused by the storm.
