The Cape Cod Commission has released a draft of the Freshwater Strategy plan.
The plan includes 13 recommendations that aim to improve regional water quality, including the development of a regional funding program for town projects and integrating freshwater ponds into municipal water resource planning.
The plan also calls for increasing public outreach and providing tools to help towns and homeowners reduce water runoff.
A public comment period is open through March 17th, with an in-person meeting on March 4th and a virtual meeting on March 6th.
