Cape And Islands Receives Level Two Drought Designation

Cape Cod and the islands have been designated a level two drought status.

The upgraded status indicates that the Cape and Islands are experiencing a significant drought after months of below average rainfall.

The state is calling on residents to help by minimizing indoor water use, especially by addressing indoor leaks that can lead to water waste.

Local government agencies should also take steps to reduce water use until the situation improves.
