Biden Administration Approves SouthCoast Wind Project

The Biden administration has approved a large commercial wind farm off the coast of Martha's Vineyard.

The SouthCoast Wind project would be 26 nautical miles south of Martha's Vineyard, and would feature over 140 turbines standing over a thousand feet tall.

The two point four gigawatt wind farm is expected to generate enough electricity to power 840 thousand homes.

The plans tentatively call for the power cables making landfall in Falmouth Heights and at Brayden Point in Somerset.
