WHOI Funding Educational, Environmental Programs

Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution is providing funding for five new research projects.

The WHOI Sea Grants will support educational, research, and extension projects that benefit the environment and economic growth, but also provide for responsible use of ocean and coastal resources.

The 1-point-7 million dollars in grants will be offered over the next two years.

Among these, the collection of catch-relevant ocean data on portions of the Outer Cape, and a study of the effect of sewage nutrients on Little Pond in Falmouth.
