Gov: Budget Is Balanced- GOP Calls Proposal Irresponsible

Governor Maura Healey has submitted her state budget proposal for the 2025 fiscal year to the legislature.

Healey says the 58-billion-dollar package keeps essential state services operating and responds directly to the most urgent challenges.

She says the budget fully funds the next phase of the historic tax cuts for all state residents, and includes extra money for transportation.

Healey's proposal also includes free school lunches statewide and no cost community college for all residents over the age of 25.
