The Cape Cod National Seashore is encouraging visitors and residents to be shark smart if you intend to dip your toes into the waters off Cape Cod this holiday.
That includes avoiding murky shallow water and areas where schools of fish are visible and swimming.
People are also advised to kayak and surf in groups.
Since 2012, three shark bites have been reported in the waters off Wellfleet and Truro.
