Governor Healey Has Off Shore Electricity Plan

The Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources has filed a draft request for proposals for new offshore wind energy projects.

Governor Maura Healey's administration says if the Department of Public Utilities approves the filing, it would be the largest wind solicitation in the commonwealth to date.

The request is seeking up to 36-hundred megawatts of electricity, which would represent one-quarter of the state's total demand.
