Barnstable Intermediate School Evacuated Due To Bomb Threat

A bomb threat resulted in the evacuation of the Barnstable Intermediate School Tuesday.

Barnstable police say just before 11:00-am, officers responded to the school for reports of a bomb threat written on a hallway wall.

Students and staff were temporarily evacuated to Barnstable High School while a safety sweep was conducted by the State Police Bomb Squad and their K-9 teams.

Police say students returned to B.I.S. at around 12:45-pm to finish off the school day.
