A group of lucky passengers on a Steamship Authority vessel saw a humpback whale breach the water last week.
The Martha’s Vineyard Times reports social media was buzzing with videos and photos of the sighting from passengers on the island home last Friday afternoon as they were traveling from Vineyard Haven to Woods Hole.
Those on board reportedly got multiple chances to see the humpback come to the surface up close.
