Brewster Acquires Cape Cod Sea Camps Property

Brewster officials have announced that the town has reached an agreement to purchase the Cape Cod Sea Camps property, according to town’s website.

Details, including the purchase price, will be publicized during an online forum scheduled for Friday.

The purchase will require approval at a special town meeting on September 25th and an election on October 5th.

The two parcels on Cape Cod Bay and Long Pond are nearly 120 acres combined.

Possible uses include new public beaches and affordable housing.

The sea camps closed last year after nearly a century of operation.
