The Latest On Tropical Storm Henri...

Tropical Storm Henri continues to churn to our south. It is spinning its way north-northwest toward the Rhode Island Coast at 16 mph, with sustained winds at 70 mph and gusts up to 90 mph.

Here on the Cape, portions of our area are actually seeing breaks of sunshine! But don’t be fooled. The worst of the storm is expected to occur between the hours of 10 a.m. & 4 p.m.

A look at the radar shows another band of showers possibly coming across the Cape out of the south in the 9 a.m. hour.

However, rain will not be a big issue for Cape Cod. The wind gusts and storm surge will be the main things we will need to be watching.

We could see wind gusts of between 40-60 mph throughout the storm. Already, both Mashpee & Truro have seen wind gusts of 46 mph.

Seas to the southwest of Martha’s Vineyard have been recorded at 19 ft. in the past hour.

And, we have also seen some power outages arise in Barnstable within the past hour, with 354 customers now without power.
