State Senate Rejects Restaurant Relief Proposals

The Massachusetts Senate has rejected two proposals aimed at helping restaurants in their recovery from the pandemic.

Lawmakers turned down budget amendments extending caps on fees that third-party delivery services charge restaurants, and allowing restaurants to send takeout cocktails.

The move comes as lawmakers consider extending a series of emergency orders before the state of emergency for Massachusetts ends on June 15th.
