Mashpee Man Charged With Making School Threats

The father of a student at a Mashpee school is facing charges.

The Enterprise reports Edwin Rivera was arraigned in Falmouth District Court on Tuesday on charges of Threatening to Commit a Crime and Disturbing a School Assembly.

Rivera allegedly called the Coombs School on March 23rd and threatened to go there and hurt staff members, apparently over safety and custody issues with his son.

That threatened visit did not happen, but police reports indicate some teachers at the school felt compelled to barricade their doors to keep students safe.

People use phone search information at night.
