Edgartown Shellfish Constable Accused Of Property Defacement

The longtime shellfish constable of Edgartown is facing a misdemeanor charge. 

Paul Bagnall is accused of damaging his neighbor's front yard by driving a pickup truck over it after the two had reportedly been involved in previous disputes. 

An initial court hearing was held for the property defacement charge on Wednesday, according to a Vineyard Gazette report. 

Bagnall has served as Edgartown shellfish constable for 36 years, according to the newspaper.
