APCC Opposes Joint Base Cape Cod Machine Gun Range

Opposition to a proposed Massachusetts Army National Guard Machine Gun Range proposed for Joint Base Cape Cod.

The Association to Preserve Cape Cod is out with a letter disputing that there would be no significant impact on the environment.

The organization is questioning whether the project is an appropriate use of the Upper Cape Water Supply Reserve.

200 acres of the Reserve would be used...with 170 acres of it forest land that would be clear cut.

The site is near the water supply for Bourne, Sandwich, Falmouth and Mashpee.
