Voting Begins Today For Massachusetts

Republican voters in the Fifth Barnstable House District are going to pick a successor to the retiring State Rep Randy Hunt.

Thomas Keyes is running against Steve Xiarhos. James Dever is on the ballot on the Democratic side.

The polls will close tonight at 8.

Secretary of the Commonwealth Bill Galvin predicting between 1.2 and 1.4-million people casting ballots, spurred by the Kennedy-Markey race.

So far about 850-thousand ballots on both sides have been cast already.

Meanwhile the Second Barnstable District Democrats Kip Diggs and Michael Macenas are vying for the Democratic nomination and the right to meet incumbent Republican Will Crocker.
