Chatham Beach Goer Saved After Dune Collapses

Another rescue of an individual trapped in sand on Cape Cod was reported over the weekend, the second such incident in less than a month.

Authorities say a fifteen-year-old girl was reportedly found buried up to her neck after a dune collapsed while she was digging a hole in the sand on North Beach Island in Chatham at around 5 p.m. Sunday.

The girl was reportedly uninjured.

Last month, a mother and her teenage son had to be rescued on a remote stretch of beach in Orleans after a similar situation.
