Simulated Shutdown Planned For Pilgrim Nuclear Plant

Officials say the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station in Plymouth will undergo a simulated shutdown May 28th.

A crew will perform the shutdown with a control room simulator. The simulation is scheduled for 1 p.m. on the 28th at the Sandwich Road Training Center.

Last October, Entergy Corporation announced its plans to close the facility which had been operational since 1972. It provided power for more than 600 thousand homes.
