In Malden this weekend The Medal of Honor has been awarded posthumously to Yarmouth Police Sergeant Sean Gannon and Weymouth Police Officer Michael Chesna. Both were killed in the line of duty last year.
In addition, Valor Awards go to: Falmouth Police Officer Ryan Moore and Officer Donald Miranda. Yarmouth Police Officer Chris VanNess… Yarmouth Police Officer Sean Geary, and the Valor Award: Yarmouth Police K-9 Nero--Sean Gannon’s Police Dog was also honored.
The Irish American Police Officers Association presented the awards this weekend.
